Lilly was a wonderful dog. It was an honor to know her. She was sweet, smart, and a pleasure to be with. I trust that she and Jacques (1997[?]-2008) are together, investigating everything that moves.
Lilly’s grandmother
i was just wondering about miss lilly the other day. so sorry for your loss but so glad you had so many years with her. she and i never even came close to bonding when we encountered each other, but i liked that about her. she was a grand lady.
The photo is my new desktop. Lilly was such a special dog, her eyes in the photo are so soulful. She live a long amazing life that led her around the country…she will be in our hearts always.
Lily was a sweet dog. That is the best way for me to describe her personality. And also is why she endeared herself to all. Physically, she was an exceptionally fast runner and demonstrated this when she was taken out to play. Her speed indicated her eagerness for fun.
I like to attribute a human emotion to her, and thus, I believe she was pleased to be adopted, and then pleased to enjoy a good life.
Thank you all! We do miss her. She was sweet, wise, grand, soulful, and definitely had a long cool (and strange) trip–what y’all said. She went swimming in the Florida Keys with a barracuda, got quilled by a porcupine in Vermont, treed a bear cub once, pranced with a fawn, and spent her last days on the Pacific Northwest beach. She certainly had a rich life, and enriched ours.
